Looking for a drum teacher? I have many years of teaching experience as a drum instructor. I have had students become successful drummers who enjoy playing music.

Drum lessons with me include rudimental percussion studies such as solo snare drumming. Lessons regarding snare drum technique will include George Stone's approach to control, Joe Morello's Master Studies, and percussive instrumentals such as sections from The National Association of Rudimental Drummers. Drum set independence, as in three and four way independence and coordination studies, will be taught from a combination of methods, including from Dick Demer's book No End to Control, Jim Chapin's independence study approaches, and my own book about singing while playing percussion or drum set titled The Singing Drummer: add vocals to your beat will be utilized.

Also, we'll perhaps explore great drumming books by royal hartigan and Peter Erskine, depending on your musical interests and needs.

When it comes to music equipment, I prefer American made products. These include Zildian Cymbals, DW Drums, and of course, Vic Firth sticks, mallets and brushes. Buy American!
